Ben Dickerson
Ben Dickerson, MA, MS, LAC
Ben is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He also has a B.A. in history and philosophy and an M.A. in Religious Studies. He taught literature and history at the junior high and high school level for 19 years, while also teaching community college classes part time. He has been married for 20 years and has 2 children and 1 dog.
Ben is a trauma informed therapist. He is committed to addressing root causes, rather than just outward symptoms. He wants to help people find lasting change and stability in their lives. Ben is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is the gold standard in the industry for for treating trauma related challenges. Other areas of focus for Ben include depression, anxiety, social challenges, boundaries, family conflict, and anger management.
Ben works with individuals ages 5 and older. He has gentle nature and good sense of humor when he connects with children and adolescents.
Couples Counseling: Ben works with couples doing marital intensives. Marital intensives are designed to focus on the challenges in a relationship over the course of a few days to identify root issues and offer solutions that make an immediate difference. Please also see the Couples
Ben is working under the supervision of Theresa Hay, MS, LPC, NCC who is an approved clinical supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health. He will be working out of the Glendale and Metro offices and is actively scheduling telehealth clients.
Ben will be working out of the Glendale office and the Anthem office.
